Friends & Family - THANK YOU for visiting my fundraising page. I am so excited to be running the New York Marathon in 2022 in support of Legal Services NYC (LSNYC)!
LSNYC aims to fight poverty and social injustice by offering low-income New Yorkers with legal representation in times of life crisis. As New York emerges out of the pandemic, the issues facing low-income New Yorkers are only exasperated. Legal help is the most effective tool in resolving these issues for the 1.7 million+ city residents that live below the poverty line. LSNYC helps to stop foreclosures, prevent eviction for low-income tenants, secure safe environments for victims of domestic violence, help keep or gain access to public health insurance and so much more. On a more personal note, the New York Marathon will be my first attempt at 26.2! Over the years, I have had the priviledge of attempting a variety of different races, including multiple Alcatraz crossings, a half marathon & most recently, a half Ironman. Every training journey has taught me something new about myself and given me a unique perspective on life. I'm excited to continue to push myself to a new level of fitness and see what a training journey to 26.2 unlocks.
