I started running after college—just a few miles here and there to stay healthy and connect with friends. What began casually has grown into something life-changing. Since completing my first marathon in 2016 (in 4 hours and 30 minutes), I’ve ran 10 marathons and several half marathons. Running has become an essential part of my life.
For me, running is about more than fitness. It’s about growth—showing up, day after day, and becoming a little stronger, mentally and physically. It’s about being a role model for my children, Andrew (7) and Emily (4), showing them that hard things can be accomplished with consistent effort and heart.
Now, running is also about giving back.
This year, I was honored to receive a charity bib to run the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon for the New York Road Runners (NYRR) NYRR Team for Climate—a cause I’m passionate about. NYRR is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2040, and your donation will directly support that goal through initiatives like:
-
Carbon offsetting: investing in forest management and other efforts to remove carbon from the atmosphere
-
Carbon insetting: reducing emissions at NYRR events through sustainable practices
Running New York is a dream—and this time, it’s for something even bigger than the finish line.
Please consider donating to help me support NYRR’s climate mission and make this marathon truly meaningful. Every step I take is powered by your support.
