A MESSAGE FROM IronMatt - The Matthew Larson Foundation for Pediatric Brain Tumors
Forever Young with IronMatt
As I approach a significant milestone—my 60th birthday—I find myself deeply reflecting on the precious gift of life and the legacies we leave behind.
In honor of this transformative moment, I'm channeling my passion for running and taking on the hurdle of the 2025 New York Marathon.
I am dedicating my efforts to a remarkable cause: [IronMatt](https://ironmatt.org/).
Every step of training has been in Matt Larson's memory Matt, a courageous 7-year-old, fought with unwavering strength and bravery against pediatric brain tumors.
I am running in support of the ongoing mission of the Matthew Larson Foundation for Pediatric Brain Tumors. Since its inception in 2007, IronMatt has been unwavering in its commitment to combating pediatric brain tumors and alleviating the challenges faced by affected families.
In the 18 years since Matt’s passing, IronMatt has cultivated a dedicated network, working tirelessly to reduce family hardship and fund essential research. The vision is clear: to empower children to swim, bike, and run until they reach 70+ years old, not just 7 years old...
As the children head back to school, and families post joyful "First Day" signs and pictures, think of all the brave young warriors striving to overcome the unimaginable.
With your support, we can amplify the impact of this cause, increasing the number of families supported and broadening the scope of critical research needed to eradicate pediatric brain tumors.
Please consider joining me in this meaningful endeavor; Contribute financially, offer your encouragement; come out and cheer for me and my daughter Molly on the streets of New York (November 2nd); Consider sharing this story on your page ; every little bit adds up to making a significant difference.
Every child deserves the chance to live a life free from the shadow of cancer, to laugh freely and chase dreams without fear. Together we can honor the memories of those we've lost too young and champion the fight against pediatric cancers. Thank You - Shirley
