A MESSAGE FROM Jake's Gladney Fundraising - 2023 NYC Marathon
A Gladney/Robison Story:
In August of 2019, Gladney presented us with a 3-year-old boy named William from the foster care system who was set to be available to adopt within the next 60-90 days. William presented with autism, severe language delay, food selectivity, and was reported to not engage in physical affection of any kind. Outside of the challenges for William, there were multiple complications causing years of court battles and fear of what may come next for our newfound son. During this time, I took up running as a way to manage stress, have something in my life I had control over, and see forward progress when our battle for William seemed to be moving in the wrong direction. Without running, I'm not sure how I would have coped during this time. Now that our son is officially adopted, we want to give back to Gladney for standing by us during trying times. By raising money and awareness for Gladney, we hope to help other families unite with children in need of normalcy and unconditional love. I'll be joining the Gladney running team at this year's New York City Marathon to show our support while participating in the pastime that helped me during a difficult period of my life. This November, I'll be running for Gladney, their employees, their supporters, plus the families and children they represent. #IAMGLADNEY

The Robison family is fundraising for Gladney's New Beginnings Program. I am running the New York City Marathon as part of team Gladney in 2023 to show our support. We are looking to raise a minimum of $3,000 for the adoption through foster care program. Please find it in your heart to donate to help other families and children similar to our story through the wonderful work of Gladney's New Beginnings program.
