A MESSAGE FROM Hayley Douglas
Ten years ago, I followed a gut feeling and moved to New York City.
No real roadmap, certainly no guarantees, just a suitcase, a dream, and a middle name that apparently predicts a lot of what I do: Dare.
A decade later, this city has given me more than I ever imagined. Community, grit, late nights, loud streets, and a life I'm so proud of. So when it came time to celebrate 10 years in NYC, I thought...why not do something completely, utterly, very on-brand crazy?
26.2 miles crazy?
As it turns out, I'm not the only one with something to celebrate this year. This November, I'll be running the NYC Marathon's 50th Anniversary race with the New York Junior League - an incredible organization marking their own 125th year of empowering women and strengthening communities across this city. Three milestones, one finish line.
It's a cause close to my heart, because if NYC taught me anything, it's that this city only works when we show up for each other.
So here's my dare to you: help me cross that finish line. Every dollar you donate fuels both my legs and the meaningful work the Junior League does every single day in our city.
Ten years in. 26.2 miles to go. Let's do this.
