Thank you for supporting the kids of New York City. Now, more than ever they need the lessons and support of loving, non-judgmental dogs. A Fair Shake for Youth uses the power of registered therapy dogs interact with middle school youth for a big dose of love and compassion, stress-reduction and empathy-building.
Students also read to dogs over zoom, honing their reading skills to an attentive, non-judgemental audience.
I'm lucky enough to know two of the therapy dogs who are part of this program, and they and their owners are amazing. I'm running the NYC half marathon and raising money to help keep these dogs in schools, helping our kids. I'd so appreciate it if you could send some money the way of this organization. The world definitely needs more therapy dogs!
