A MESSAGE FROM Andres' New York Marathon Fundraising Page | New York Common Pantry
Hi All,
I'm honored to announce that I'll be running on behalf of the New York Common Pantry in this year's New York City Marathon!
The NYCP was founded in 1979 with the expressed mission of providing dignity, health, and self-sufficiency to those who need it most. Their services could not be more crucial to New York City residents, 15% of whom suffer from food insecurity, with nearly 600,000 of those individuals being children. In order to address this, the NYCP offers a wide range of services to their visitors from food pantry packages for families to quality-of-life services for the city's homeless, striving to ensure that our neighbors are treated with the respect and compassion they deserve.
As a lifetime runner, I'm so excited to participate in next month's marathon, and more importantly, to support a New York City establishment. My goal is to raise $3,000 for the NYCP, and I truly appreciate the support of my friends, family, and colleagues in accomplishing this!
