In 2023, my life changed forever. While I was out running, I suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm — something I had no warning signs for. I spent 26 days in the ICU, and there were moments where my future was uncertain. But by the grace of God, I survived.
Now, I’m running the TCS New York City Marathon not just as a runner, but as a brain aneurysm survivor. Every mile I run is for the people who didn’t get the chance to keep going, for the families impacted by this condition, and for everyone who needs to know that awareness can truly save lives.
1 in 50 people has an unruptured brain aneurysm. That equals 6.5 million people in the United States. 30,000 people in the U.S. suffer a rupture each year, and half of those do not survive. That’s why I’m raising funds for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation — to help spread awareness, support research, and continue the mission of saving lives.
Please consider donating and supporting me on this journey. This marathon is bigger than 26.2 miles for me. It’s about purpose, awareness, survival, and using my story to help somebody else.
