Tell Every Amazing Lady® (TEAL) is dedicated to advancing women’s health by raising awareness, providing education, and supporting research focused on ovarian cancer — a disease that often goes undetected until later stages and does not receive the attention it deserves.

On race day, which also happens to be my birthday, I’m running not just for myself, but to give back and stand with women who are facing this disease. Supporting women’s health is something I care deeply about, and through TEAL, I can help shine a light on ovarian cancer and support efforts that empower, educate, and save lives.

Why Ovarian Cancer Awareness Matters

Ovarian cancer is often called the “silent disease” because its symptoms can be subtle and easily overlooked. Increasing awareness, education, and research funding is critical to earlier detection and better outcomes.

TEAL works to:

• Increase awareness of ovarian cancer symptoms and risk factors

• Support education and outreach efforts

• Fund research that advances prevention, detection, and treatment

• Empower women to advocate for their own health

Every conversation started and every dollar raised helps move this mission forward.

Why I Run for TEAL

Growing up with a mother who is a nurse, I learned early on about the strength of patients, the importance of compassionate care, and the vital role caregivers play in supporting those facing illness.

Running with Tell Every Amazing Lady® allows me to honor that strength, celebrate the resilience of women, and turn a milestone birthday into something meaningful — supporting a cause that uplifts women everywhere.

Tell Every Amazing Lady®（TEAL）は、卵巣がんの認知向上、教育活動、そして研究支援を通して、女性の健康を守ることを目的とした団体です。卵巣がんは発見が遅れやすく、十分な注目を受けていない疾患のひとつです。

今回、レース当日が自分の誕生日という特別な日に、「自分のため」だけでなく「誰かのため」に走りたいと思い、TEALのために走ることを決めました。女性の健康を支えるこの活動を通して、卵巣がんについてより多くの人に知ってもらい、支援につなげたいと考えています。

なぜ卵巣がんの認知向上が大切なのか

卵巣がんは症状が分かりにくく、「サイレントキャンサー」とも呼ばれています。だからこそ、正しい知識を広め、早期発見や研究を支えることがとても重要です。

TEALは以下の活動を行っています：

• 卵巣がんの症状やリスク要因の認知向上

• 教育・啓発活動の支援

• 研究資金の提供

• 女性が自分の健康と向き合うためのエンパワーメント

一人ひとりの行動が、未来を変える力になります。

私がTEALのために走る理由

看護師の母のもとで育った私は、患者さんの強さや、思いやりのあるケアの大切さ、そして支える人の存在の大きさを自然と学んできました。
TEALとともに走ることで、女性の前向きに生きる力を応援し、この誕生日を、誰かの背中をそっと押せる一日にできたら嬉しいです。
