A MESSAGE FROM Nour
I am incredibly honored and excited to be running the NYC Marathon in honor of my
cousin, Zaid, and to raise awareness for SUDC (Sudden Unexplained Death in
Childhood).
The Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated toward research and awareness of sudden deaths in children over the age of 12 months that
remain unexplained after the conclusion of a thorough case investigation.
On May 5th, 2016, my cousin, Zaid, passed away in his sleep at the age of 2. Though his time here on Earth was short, Zaid made a tremendous impact on our lives. I will always cherish the memories of watching Tarzan and Rugrats (or as Zaid called it, Babies), singing We Will Rock You, playing with SnapChat filters, and drinking raspberry black tea lemonades together. It’s these memories that will help me run my first ever marathon.
