I am honored to be running the 2026 United Airlines New York City Half Marathon on behalf of the EveryLife Foundation for Rare Diseases.
I am a licensed clinical social worker, therapist, and former educator, and I bring both professional experience and lived perspective to my advocacy. I am a first-generation immigrant from Venezuela and now call Brooklyn, NY home. My passion for equity, justice, and access to care has been shaped by my personal journey and my desire to support individuals and families who face barriers within healthcare systems, both here in the United States and globally.
I am also the proud parent of two daughters who spent time in the NICU. Navigating those early and uncertain days gave me firsthand insight into the importance of specialized care, early screening, and comprehensive support for families. It also showed me just how resilient families must be when facing complex medical challenges, and how vital it is that no one has to navigate those moments alone.
Today, I run a private therapy practice where I support individuals through major life transitions, work closely with LGBTQ+ clients, and partner with parents as they navigate caregiving and family life. At the heart of my work is a belief that care should be compassionate, accessible, and grounded in dignity.
Running on behalf of the EveryLife Foundation feels like a natural extension of who I am and what I value. This race is an opportunity for me to give back, raise awareness, and advocate for a future where individuals and families affected by rare diseases have equitable access to care, resources, and support. I am proud to run in honor of those who may feel unseen or face barriers to access, and I am grateful to stand alongside a community working to change that.
Thank you for supporting my run and for being part of this journey with me.
