A MESSAGE FROM Henri Bianucci's NYC Marathon Fundraising Page
Henri and Miller are running The New York City Marathon on November 3rd once again! We are incredibly grateful for the generosity our friends and family showed in supporting last year's race and we're excited about tackling NYC 2024! Our fundraising goal is an ambitious $15,000. We are running to raise funds and awareness for The Foundation For Tomorrow (TFFT). TFFT's mission is to secure quality education and emotional support for orphan and vulnerable children so that they may reach their full potential and thrive in their communities. TFFT's goal is straightforward: change the trajectory of a child’s life through the power of education. We believe that ones circumstances should not determine their future.
Our story and background: 17 years ago, Macon, Miller, and Susan spent a summer at Nkoaranga Children’s Home in Tanzania and fell in love with a group of 26 children. These children were full of hopes and dreams for their futures. By the time summer drew to a close and it was time to leave, we had come to understand that the children phase out of the children’s home at five years old, often without a safe or stable place to return to. Due to their vulnerability status, educational opportunities would have been inaccessible to most of the children.
Our family became involved with TFFT, an NGO that filled all of the gaps we were looking for: holistic services include access to quality schooling at boarding schools, health and psychosocial support, life skills programs, and other wrap around services. Today, Miller is the Executive Director of TFFT and our family has been involved in various ways throughout the years. It is extremely fulfilling to see that those dreams and hopes of the children we met 17 years ago are still intact, and are in fact being pursued, stretched, and achieved with TFFT’s help!
