(it wouldn’t let me add that above) thank you for sharing your story and doing this in honor of such an important cause. while i can’t imagine how hard that must’ve been to go through, i do know life is full of no shortage of tragedy. but it also is full of beauty, and this and what you’re doing is exactly that. don’t forget that! i’m 7 years in recovery and it’s hard to find spaces that foster that in today’s society. i can’t wait to look into release recovery foundation! thank you for spreading awareness to addiction, sobriety, and mental health awareness. what you’re doing matters!  

Your a legend dude, I heard your story through Instagram and it really touched me. What an incredible legacy for Marisa, she must have been an amazing woman. To loose your life partner and come back from that dark place is one of the hardest things a person can go through, that journey never ends but you should be so proud of yourself for where your at now.

I also lost my person suddenly and unexpectedly shortly after graduating college in 2016, and it’s been a very long 10 years without them. I’m so sorry for your loss. As a New Yorker (and a longtime fan of your content) I’m excited to see you crush at the marathon. And congrats to you on your sobriety. ❤️

When I needed saving, my people became my life. and I learned to self love by eventually seeing how they reciprocated that need to me when I was finally ready to see it. Your strength and determination will guide you through this wonderful experience. I’m not a runner but if I had any advice to give you, I’d say, remind yourself to inhale and exhale when a step gets tough. That will put more “pep” in your step. When times get tough, I automatically exhale and it gives me that “pep”. Go get it Lucas!
