A MESSAGE FROM Ernie Scheyder's 2026 NYC Marathon Fundraiser for the ADDF
Let’s fight Alzheimer’s, together.
I’m running the New York City Marathon on November 1 for the 12th time in support of the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation and its efforts to find better treatment and a cure.
With your help, the past 11 years we’ve raised more than $42,400 to fund research that fights this pernicious disease.
And that support for ADDF’s vital mission is bearing incredible fruit, including bold, new drug treatments for Alzheimer's, as well as a blood test to identify the disease far earlier in life than previously possible.
Additionally, there are two dozen other Alzheimer’s-related drugs in clinical trials right now supported by ADDF funding, research and goodwill. Every penny raised this year will go directly toward laboratory research sponsored by the ADDF. (A private foundation funds the ADDF’s operating budget.)
I’m committed to helping raise awareness of ADDF’s mission and to fighting the stigma around memory care. If Alzheimer’s and dementia are issues you or your family are touched by, I’d love your support as I train for the race (set for November 1!) and fundraise for this important cause.
Thank you,
Ernie
