Hi everyone,
This year I’ll be running the NYC Marathon with Team Think Pink Rocks in support of breast cancer research, a cause that is deeply personal to me and my family.
In 2020, my mom, my biggest role model, was diagnosed with breast cancer. She showed a kind of strength and calm that I will never forget. Her cancer was caught early, and thanks to the incredible doctors and care team at Stamford Hospital, she underwent a lumpectomy in both breasts and completed 3½ weeks of radiation. Today, she is over five years cancer free, something I am endlessly grateful for.
This journey has touched our family more than once. In 2024, my aunt faced her own battle with breast cancer and has just finished treatments in late 2025. Seeing both of them go through this and come out on the other side with such resilience has been incredibly powerful and inspiring.
What stood out to me most during these experiences wasn’t just their strength, but their faith. No matter how uncertain things felt, they always reminded me to trust in God and to believe that even in the hardest moments, there is a greater plan. That mindset carried all of us through some of the most difficult times in our lives and it’s something I carry with me every day.
Exercise has always been a huge part of my life, and being able to take on the NYC Marathon representing Team Think Pink Rocks while dedicating every mile to my mom, my aunt, and to a cause that impacts so many families means everything to me. I’m running for their strength, their faith, and for everyone who has faced or is currently facing this battle.
