Why I'm Running
I've never run a marathon before, but now I'm about to run 26.2 miles through five boroughs, because apparently that's the kind of decision I make now.
But I've got a good reason.
Over the last few years, the Adoption Rides have completely changed my life. Dog after dog after dog finding their people, finding their forever homes. You can't watch that happen and then just go back to normal.
So I'm running the New York City Marathon to raise money for North Shore Animal League America, an organization that has saved more animals than I can wrap my head around. Every dollar goes toward getting more dogs out of shelters and into the homes they deserve.
I'm committed to helping as many dogs as I possibly can. And if that means putting my body through 26.2 miles of pain to do it?
Thank you for your support.
Let's fkn go.
