A MESSAGE FROM Britzy
Britzy, running in the NYC Marathon?! INSANE RIGHT! Only 1% of people participate in the NYC Marathon and I'm so excited for November 1st. I was inspired by those who are determined to cross the finish line no matter their age, health, or disability.
In August of 2025, my mother Irma suddenly lost her lower body mobility, couldn't move, experienced numbness in her legs, and was bedridden for about a month all while being in remission from her cancer. She is now much better and during her journey she went from a wheelchair, walker, and now slowly to a cane. My mother is the strongest woman I know mentally, emotionally and at one point physically. She inspires me to be better and she played a role in this journey in wanting to do a marathon. I am lucky to be young, healthy, have all my body parts intact so what is really stopping me? Mind over matter is what I constantly remind myself.
Life is too short to not take a risk and do something outside our comfort zone.
I, Britzy, will be making a personal commitment of donating $1,000 to my charity but I still need your help!
Thank you again for joining me in support of this great cause. Our finish line is active kids and communities!
