Hi folks!! I’m beyond excited to run my first marathon, and even more excited to support such an impactful cause.
As a cis, masculine-presenting queer woman, I recognize the privilege I hold within my community. It took me a long time to feel comfortable in my own skin. Growing up playing soccer at an elite level, I often found myself in high-intensity environments that weren’t always accepting of who I was. While those experiences shaped me, they also helped me understand that many people face far greater barriers simply trying to live openly and safely.
Running with Team Point of Pride is my way of standing in solidarity with the transgender and gender-diverse community. Everyone deserves the chance to live authentically and access the healthcare they need, and I’m incredibly proud and grateful to support an organization working to make that possible.
