I’m excited to be running my first half marathon on March 16th, 2025 in support of the Schwarzman Animal Medical Center, and more specifically the Buddy Fund. This is an incredible initiative that provides free or subsidized care for animals undergoing cancer treatment. As a veterinarian on the surgery service, I’ve seen how difficult it is for families when their pets are diagnosed with cancer. The Buddy Fund was established to provide financial assistance for the treatment of cancer and cancer-related conditions, ensuring that pets can stay healthy and with their families during these challenging times. With the Buddy Fund’s help, many animals can receive the care they need, regardless of financial circumstances.
