Hello! My name is Andrew Burns and I have the pleasure of running my first marathon with Team for Kids at the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon. Please join me in supporting this wonderful organization! Team for Kids is a team of adult runners who raise funds to support New York Road Runners youth and community programs. Your donation will help empower youth and communities to develop and encourage healthy habits via running. Together, we can build healthier lives and stronger communities through the transformative power running. A little more about me and why I decided to run the marathon with Team for Kids: I am a freelance costume designer for theater, and I moved to NYC in August of 2024 with the dream of working on Broadway. The 2024 TCS New York City Marathon was one of the first days I felt this immense feeling of community in the city- everyone coming together to cheer on the racers as they ran across the 5 boroughs of NYC. That feeling of joy was exhilarating and I knew in that moment I wanted to be a part of the marathon as a runner someday. I figured there was no better way to join this marathon and achieve this goal than to run with an organization fundraising for a great cause like Team for Kids.
