A MESSAGE FROM Amanda's Marathon Fundraising
I'm running my first marathon this fall in New York! I've been long distance running for eight years, and now I'm taking on my biggest race yet.
I'll be running with TeamUJC, raising money to support the Urban Justice Center, which works in the city to expand mental health services and provide social safety nets for vulnerable New Yorkers.
The group started in East Harlem — not far from where I live and along the routes I often run — in 1984, and has grown to serve tens of thousands of people every year.
