IM RUNNING SO KIDS CAN
I’m raising $1,300 to support this mission and every dollar helps create access, confidence, and community for kids who deserve it.
YOU can bring me closer to the goal. No donation is too small-every cent counts!
130 $10 donations = $1300
260 $5 donations = $1300
People think I’m crazy for doing what I do. By that I mean running 20–25 miles a week. Yes, I’m training for a half marathon, but that’s not the only reason I run. I still remember running my first 5K and then diving into my first high school cross-country season. From a young age, running has taught me discipline and routine. When I feel anxious or overwhelmed, I have something I can turn to that helps me feel like myself again.
That’s why this year, I’m running the NYC United Half Marathon with NYRR Team for Kids (TFK). TFK has served 2.5 million students in NYC and across the country by providing free running and fitness programs to under-resourced communities. For many kids, this is their only opportunity to be active or play sports. In the 2023–2024 school year alone, TFK supported 195,176 students across 846 sites, marking a 40% increase in participation.
Running has been a lifeline for me through burnout and mental health challenges this past year. This sport has been proven to reduce anxiety and depression, improve mood, build resilience, and I’ve felt every bit of that firsthand. I want to help make that same outlet accessible to others.
