I'm proud to be running the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon as a member of Team Make-A-Wish Metro New York.

As the parent of a young son, I know how much childhood is built on imagination, anticipation, and the belief that something wonderful is possible. That's why the mission of Make-A-Wish resonates so deeply with me.

For children facing critical illnesses, a wish is so much more than a single unforgettable experience. It restores hope, creates joy, strengthens families, and gives children something extraordinary to look forward to during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. It gives them a chance to simply be kids again.

Running 26.2 miles through New York City will be one of the greatest physical challenges I've ever taken on, but every mile will have a purpose. Every training run, every early morning, and every finish line is dedicated to helping grant life-changing wishes for children and families in our community.

This marathon is part of a larger journey I've begun through Ethan Runs For Good—using running to support organizations that make a meaningful difference in people's lives. I'm honored that Make-A-Wish Metro New York is one of those organizations.

I've set an ambitious fundraising goal, and I would be incredibly grateful for your support. Every donation, no matter the amount, brings a child one step closer to experiencing the hope, strength, and joy of a wish come true.

    My youngest daughter, Mandie, was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis (CF), a genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system, at just 10 months old in the early ’90s. For decades, her life was filled with daily chest percussion therapy, nebulizer treatments, enzymes with every meal, nutrition through a feeding tube, and frequent hospitalizations, often followed by weeks of IV treatments at home to combat stubborn respiratory infections. Thankfully, in her mid-20s, Mandie began taking a revolutionary new drug called Trikafta that dramatically changed her life for the better. In many ways, we feel that she has won her battle with CF. Shortly before she began taking Trikafta, Mandie was contacted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation about having a wish granted. She wished for a trip to NYC to see a Broadway show and attend a taping of *The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon*, where she had the opportunity to meet both Jimmy and producer Lorne Michaels. That trip brought her tremendous joy at a time when her spirits were very low from her daily struggles with CF. Our entire family remains incredibly grateful to Make-A-Wish for giving her such a wonderful experience when she needed it most. I'm so happy to support my talented friend and fellow orchestrator Ethan as he raises funds for this truly worthy cause!
