A MESSAGE FROM Ayana fundraising for the Fund for Public Health NYC
This year, I said yes to something that both excites and challenges me, I will be running the New York City Marathon!
I'm honored to be running with the Fund for Public Health in NYC, supporting efforts that expand access to essential health services and resources for communities in need.
As a mom and public educator, I see every day how important it is for individuals and families to have access to the support systems that keep them healthy and thriving. Whether it's managing chronic diseases, accessing primary care, receiving preventative health screenings, or having access to affordable, nutritious food and mental health services, all of which are not luxuries but necessities.
This work matters because I've seen how gaps in access can impact not just individuals, but entire families and communities.
As I approach my 40th birthday, I wanted to challenge myself in a meaningful way. Something that reflects both personal growth and purpose. Running the NYC Marathon has become that challenge.
I'm not just running 26.2 miles. I'm running to support access, equity, and opportunity when it comes to health and well-being.
As part of the journey, I've committed to raising $3,500.
If you're able to contribute, I would truly appreciate your support. No donation is too small, every dollar helps makes a difference.
And if donating isn't possible, your encouragement and support along the way mean just as much to me.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me!
